CPD for Australian general practices

Run your whole practice's CPD from here.

Structured PDSA guides written by GP practice owners for the whole team. One improvement cycle each quarter earns CPD hours for your GPs and nurses, counts for your practice manager (AAPM conditions attached), gets ahead of a risk the practice already carries, and documents the evidence for CPD and PIP QI.

One completed cycle earns CPD hours for the GPs, NMBA hours for the nurses and, conditions attached, AAPM points for the practice manager, with the evidence to back each claim. Most CPD platforms serve the individual doctor. This one is built for the practice.
What one cycle does

One cycle counts four ways

CPD for the whole team

Up to 9 hours per GP across EA, RP and MO. Nurses claim the same work toward the NMBA 20; practice managers claim it under AAPM's conditions.

Accreditation evidence

The completed workbook and meeting records are quality improvement evidence against the RACGP Standards when your assessor asks.

PIP QI participation

A documented cycle is the continuous improvement activity the incentive expects practices to run in partnership with their PHN.

Measured patient outcomes

A baseline, one change and a follow-up number. Improvement you can show your team and your PHN, not assert.

The guide library

One topic each quarter, improvement you can show

Each guide walks your team through a complete Plan-Do-Study-Act cycle on a topic that shows up in your registers, your accreditation and your billing. Worked examples from the authors' own practices sit alongside the spaces where you record yours.

How it works

A quarter per cycle, a year of CPD

The practice manager coordinates. The clinicians claim. A completed cycle earns each participating GP up to 9 hours: 3 educational activities, 3 reviewing performance, 3 measuring outcomes. Four cycles a year delivers 24 of the 25 combined RP and MO hours a GP must log, and a nurse counts the time hour for hour toward the NMBA 20.

Pick the topic

Choose a guide that matches your registers, your PIP QI measures or your next accreditation focus.

Hold the plan meeting

Twenty minutes in a team meeting. Set the baseline, the change idea and who does what. The workbook records it.

Run the cycle

Eight to ten weeks of normal work with one change in place. Pull the follow-up numbers when the workbook tells you to.

Study, act, claim

Review the result, decide what becomes permanent, print the completed workbook. That printout is the CPD evidence.

Tools

Built for the person who coordinates everyone else

Practice managers run CPD for the whole team without holding a clinical registration themselves. These tools do the arithmetic and the scheduling.
