A sponsored guide gives your field team a reason to be in the practice that is not a sales call. The practice gets a free, structured quality improvement cycle on a topic that fits your clinical area. The GPs get CPD hours. Your rep gets the conversation.
The sponsor funds development of the guide: clinical drafting, review, the interactive workbook build and hosting in the library. Where agreed, the sponsor also funds formal CPD accreditation of the activity and its allocation of AAPM points for practice managers and APNA endorsement for nurses.
Input into the content. The RACGP CPD program does not accept activities with sponsor involvement in design, development, content or delivery, and the same rule protects the sponsor: a guide that read like promotion would not earn the practice's trust or the rep's welcome. No product or brand names appear in any guide. Sponsor contact details do not appear on promotional material.
Sponsored guides are structured to sit inside the RACGP CPD sponsorship and activity requirements, the Medicines Australia Code of Conduct provisions for third-party educational support, the MTAA Code of Practice for device companies and the TGA rules on advertising to health professionals. Content independence and transparency of the funding relationship are the two constants across all four.
