Dr Chris Mitchell AM reviews every piece of clinical content on this site before it publishes. He is a Rural General Practitioner and Rural Generalist in Northern NSW, a Past President of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and co-founder and principal of Medius Global.
Where a guide documents a cycle run in his own practice, he is its author and the guide says so. The worked examples in those guides are real: the baseline searches, the changes and the numbers come from the practice, deidentified.
Every guide follows the Plan-Do-Study-Act structure used in the Practice Incentives Program QI guidance: a measured baseline, one change, a follow-up measurement and a decision about what becomes permanent. The guides differ from the free PHN templates in that each topic carries the clinical reasoning, the software search recipes and a complete worked example.
Reference pages and new guides are drafted with AI assistance against the source documents: the CPD home handbooks, the PIP QI guidelines, MBS items, screening program rules and clinical guidance. Every draft is checked against those sources, carries a verification date, and publishes only after Dr Mitchell's review. When content ages, it is updated or withdrawn.
Where a guide is sponsored, the sponsor funds development and has no input into design, development, content or delivery. That rule comes from the RACGP CPD sponsorship requirements and it applies to every guide in the library, sponsored or not. Sponsor acknowledgement appears on the guide's cover and nowhere in its content. Dr Mitchell declares any financial relationship with a sponsor before a sponsored guide is produced.
medius.learning is a product of Medius Global, an advisory firm for GP practice owners covering assessment, remediation, transaction coordination and practice expansion. The learning library exists because practices that run structured improvement keep better records, keep their teams longer and are simpler businesses to own.
